Lotería Santa Lucía — Results, How to Play and Next Draw

Lotería Santa Lucía is Guatemala's oldest and most traditional lottery, operated by the Benemérito Comité Pro Ciegos y Sordos de Guatemala (Committee for the Blind and Deaf). It was founded by Dr. Honoris Causa Elisa Molina de Stahl. Ticket sales fund the Committee's programs: specialized visual and hearing health services, inclusive education, rehabilitation and inclusion for people with visual and hearing disabilities.

A cachito (or décimo) is one-tenth of a Lotería Santa Lucía ticket. Each ticket is made up of 10 cachitos. If an ordinary draw full ticket costs Q70, each cachito costs Q7. In extraordinary draws prices vary: the January 2026 Q7 million draw had a full ticket price of Q350 and Q35 per cachito. If your cachito wins a top prize, you receive 10% of the stated prize for that draw.

Lotería Santa Lucía holds 40 ordinary draws per year (approximately weekly) with a top prize of Q600,000. It also holds extraordinary draws throughout the year with larger prizes: 5 draws at Q1.3 million, 4 draws at Q2.2 million, 1 draw at Q3.5 million and 1 draw at Q4 million. Extraordinary draws happen when 80% of the printed tickets are sold — so dates are variable, not fixed.

The draw is a supervised in-person tombola with representatives from the Contraloría General de Cuentas, Gobernación Departamental, the Committee's Board, the Lottery Management and an honorary community witness. 80,000 ordinary tickets are printed and the draw happens when 80% are sold. Winning tickets are published at loteria.org.gt and in the official app.

The top prize varies by draw type. Ordinary draws award Q600,000 first prize. Extraordinary draws range from Q1.3 million to Q7 million. If you hold a cachito of the winning ticket, you receive 10% of the prize, less 10% ISR and 3% Stamp Tax withholding.

Tickets can be purchased at loteria.org.gt. Create a username and password, log in, choose the draw, select your number, you have 30 minutes to pay, go to your cart, confirm personal details and pay by card. The receipt and digital ticket are sent to your email. Tickets are also sold through approximately 435 wholesale distributors across Guatemala.

Prizes are collected from the next business day after the draw at the offices on 3a Avenida 8-65 Zona 1, Guatemala City, phone +502 2382-1800. Present the ticket in good condition, a copy of your DPI (national ID) and RTU number. Prizes are subject to 10% ISR and 3% Stamp Tax withholding.
