The 2021 LNB Organic Law (approved 63-0 in the Legislative Assembly) transformed the Lotería Nacional de Beneficencia into the regulator and operator of online gambling and sports betting. El Salvador is also a regional pioneer as the first country to adopt Bitcoin as legal tender (September 2021), creating unique infrastructure for crypto gambling payments.
