Marina del Sol Chillán

Marina del Sol Chillán is the only casino in the Ñuble Region and the main entertainment destination in Chillán, capital of Chile's youngest region, created in 2018 from the Ñuble provinces that until then formed part of the Biobío Region. Chillán has a dual identity that distinguishes it on Chile's cultural map: it is the birthplace of Liberator Bernardo O'Higgins, hero of national independence, and also the birthplace of painter Alfredo Jaar and Mexican muralist David Alfaro Siqueiros, who painted a monumental mural there after the 1939 earthquake.

Chillán: city of the Liberator, thermal baths and Las Trancas

Chillán is also known for its thermal baths, with the Chillán thermal complex and Las Trancas Ski Center in the pre-Andes, one of the most complete snow destinations in central-southern Chile. Marina del Sol casino benefits from the weekend and winter season tourist flow towards Las Trancas, attracting skiers and tourists from across the Biobío and Maule regions. The gaming floor offers blackjack, punto banco, Caribbean poker, Texas Hold'em, mini craps and double-zero American roulette, along with slot machines and bingo.

Hours and regulation

The casino operates Monday to Thursday from 16:00 to 6:00, Friday and public holiday eves from 16:00 to 24:00, Saturday 24 hours and Sunday and public holidays from 0:00 to 4:00, under regulation of the Superintendency of Casinos de Juego (SCJ). It is operated by Marina del Sol Chillán SA, a chain that in 2024 was fully acquired by Chilean group Valmar, which also controls the Talcahuano, Calama and Osorno establishments.
