Antay Casino & Hotel Copiapó

Antay Casino and Hotel is the main entertainment complex in Copiapó, capital of the Atacama Region and a city whose history is indissolubly linked to mining. Copiapó was Chile's wealthiest city in the mid-nineteenth century thanks to the Chañarcillo silver mines, and it was in its surroundings that in 1851 Chile's and South America's first railway arrived. In 2010 Copiapó concentrated worldwide attention during the rescue of 33 miners trapped in the San José mine, an episode that projected the city's image globally.
