Casino Colonial San Miguel

Casino Colonial San Miguel is the Casinos Colonial chain's establishment in El Salvador's third largest city, known as La Ciudad de la Paz and capital of San Miguel department in the country's east. The casino occupies 372 square meters with 80 slot machines and video poker and 11 gaming tables with blackjack, poker and roulette, two restaurants and 24-hour access. San Miguel is the main economic and commercial center of eastern El Salvador, with an economy based on formal and informal commerce, remittances from the Salvadoran diaspora in the United States and an active maquila industry.

San Miguel and Central America's largest carnival

San Miguel is famous throughout Central America for its San Miguel Carnival, celebrated each November in honor of Nuestra Señora de la Paz, the city's patron. San Miguel Carnival is considered Central America's largest, with float parades, bands, queens and attendance of more than one million people on its peak days. The event transforms the city into the epicenter of Salvadoran entertainment and celebration during the last week of November, generating massive tourist flows from across the country and region.
