Fantastic Casino Xela

Fantastic Casino Xela is the only casino in Quetzaltenango, Guatemala's second most important city, popularly known as Xela and formally as Quetzaltenango. Located on the third floor of Centro Comercial Pradera Xela, the casino serves the Guatemalan highlands capital and its region of influence, covering the departments of Quetzaltenango, San Marcos, Totonicapán, Huehuetenango and Quiché. Xela is the country's second most populous city with more than 150,000 inhabitants in the city and more than 700,000 in its metropolitan area.

Quetzaltenango: the Guatemalan highlands capital

Quetzaltenango has its own cultural identity and a historical position as the country's second most important city, with a rich musical, literary and political tradition distinguishing it from other Guatemalan cities. The city is surrounded by the Santa María and Santiaguito volcanoes, and is located on the western highlands at 2,333 meters above sea level, with a cool climate contrasting with the tropical humidity of the coast and capital. Xela is an important university, commercial and industrial center for the western region, with an economy based on commerce, textiles, education and services for the highlands.

The only casino in western Guatemala

The absence of formal casinos throughout western Guatemala, with the exception of Fantastic Xela, makes this casino the only reference gaming destination for millions of highland inhabitants. CC Pradera Xela is the city's main shopping center and the most modern in the western part of the country, with stores, restaurants and the casino on its third floor. Fantastic Casino Xela operates under the same framework of Ministerial Agreement 54-2015 as the Guatemala City establishments.
