Casino Ciudad Jardín - Hotel Pipo

Casino Ciudad Jardín operates in Hotel Pipo Maracay and was one of the first to open in the reopening process driven by Maduro's government in August 2021. According to press reports of the time, Hotel Pipo Casino in Maracay opened its doors on August 31, 2021 to a full house, becoming one of the first establishments to operate in the country's interior after a decade of prohibition. Maracay is the capital of Aragua state and Venezuela's fourth largest city, located 100 kilometers southwest of Caracas on the urban corridor connecting the capital with Carabobo state.

Maracay: Garden City and its natural parks

Maracay owes its Garden City nickname to its wide tree-lined avenues, parks and green areas that contrast with the arid landscape of the Aragua valleys. The city is also known for its proximity to some of Venezuela's most important natural parks: Henri Pittier National Park, the country's first national park created in 1937, housing more than 500 bird species and exceptional biodiversity in its cloud forests descending to the country's central coast; and Lake Valencia, Venezuela's second largest lake. Maracay also has an important bullfighting tradition, with one of the country's most recognized bullrings.

Aragua state received three of the 30 licenses granted by the government in the 2021 reopening, including the Platinum and Ballagio hotels alongside Pipo, positioning Maracay as one of the Venezuelan interior's entertainment centers. Casino Ciudad Jardín at Hotel Pipo operates under a National Commission of Casinos (CNC) license and serves a metropolitan area population of more than one million inhabitants with few formal casino entertainment alternatives during the long prohibition period.
