Editorial standards

iGaming.bet covers the online gaming industry in Latin America, Spain, Portugal and Brazil. We publish news, analysis, interviews and a directory of sector suppliers.

This page explains how we work.

What we publish and why

Our audience is professional. Operators, technology suppliers, regulators, consultants and investors in the sector. We do not write for the end player and we do not produce casino recommendation content.

That definition drives our coverage. We prioritise regulatory change, market moves, decisions by gaming authorities, the technological evolution of the sector and the people making decisions inside the industry.

Sources and verification

We work with primary sources whenever they are available. Legal texts, official resolutions, statements from regulators, financial presentations and direct comments from the companies involved.

We verify figures, dates, job titles and regulatory references before publishing. When a fact cannot be confirmed, either we do not publish it or we state explicitly that it could not be verified.

We do not publish unconfirmed market rumours. We do not treat a commercial deal as done until one of the parties confirms it or public documentation supports it.

How we write

All content on iGaming.bet is original. We read the sources, understand the facts and tell the story with our own structure and vocabulary. We do not reproduce or closely paraphrase third party texts.

Only hard data is kept verbatim. Figures, names, dates, legal articles and properly attributed direct quotes.

Use of artificial intelligence

We use artificial intelligence tools to support the production process, mainly for reviewing sources and drafting.

No content is published without human review and editing. Decisions about what is covered, how a story is structured, what is highlighted and what context is added are editorial decisions made by people.

Responsibility for what is published rests entirely with the editorial team. If there is an error, it is ours.

We consider stating this openly part of the relationship of trust with our readers.

Separation of editorial and commercial content

iGaming.bet earns revenue from advertising, supplier presence in the directory and sponsored content.

All paid content is visibly labelled as such. An advertiser or a supplier listed in the directory does not obtain favourable editorial coverage as a result, and cannot condition, review or veto the editorial content that mentions it.

Directory listings are descriptive and do not constitute an editorial recommendation.

When we write about a company we have a commercial relationship with, we disclose it in the story.

Conflicts of interest

Our founder and editorial director holds an executive role at an industry operator. That dual position brings direct knowledge of the sector and, at the same time, demands transparency.

When we publish about that company, about its direct competitors in the markets where it operates, or about regulatory decisions that particularly affect it, we disclose it explicitly in the story.

Responsible gambling

We cover the gambling industry, we do not promote it.

In stories that directly address gambling problems affecting people we include information about available help resources.

We maintain a directory of problem gambling assistance organisations by country, with contact details we review periodically.

We do not publish content aimed at minors and we do not promote participation in gambling.
