ALEA Seminar: 150+ Attendees on Online Gambling & Betting Regs
The Argentine State Lotteries Association (ALEA) successfully concluded the seminar 'Strategic Management of Online Gambling and Sports Betting,' which brought together more than 150 attendees, including regulatory bodies, operators, international experts, and key sector leaders.
The event, held on August 5 at the NH Collection Hotel in Buenos Aires, addressed the challenges of the legal gambling digital ecosystem in Argentina, focusing on online gambling regulation, digital governance, integrity in sports betting, and comparative regulatory models. Structured around six thematic axes, the seminar stood out for the diversity of approaches contributed by the speakers, consolidating a space for federal, interdisciplinary, and international debate to strengthen the sector's public policies.
The opening was led by ALEA's executive director, Mario Trucco, who emphasized the importance of joint work to combat illegal gambling and promote regulated and responsible gambling. ALEA's president, Ida López, highlighted that the seminar not only brought together the most important industry players but also consolidated a strategic dialogue space to project a common path in regulation, integrity, and responsible gambling. ALEA underscored the seminar’s comprehensive agenda and its broad attendance, reaffirming its role as a coordinator of regulatory policies and a generator of training and cooperation opportunities among the country’s jurisdictions.
