Raid in Buenos Aires on an influencer for illegal gambling
Within the framework of an investigation into illegal betting in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, authorities carried out a raid in the Villa Urquiza neighborhood, ordered by the PCyF Court No. 1, headed by Dr. Rodolfo Ariza Clerici, at the request of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Illegal Gambling (FEJA), led by Dr. Juan Rozas, with the intervention of Secretary Dr. Rodrigo Branca.
During the operation, a cell phone and a notebook with notes related to bets, casinos, and money movements were seized. The Judicial Investigations Body (CIJ), City Police officers, and inspectors from the City Lottery participated in the procedure.
According to the investigation, the accused, a well-known influencer and former participant of the reality show Big Brother, had been questioned in May but continued to carry out the illegal activity regularly. Authorities managed to verify the exploitation of unauthorized bets, within the framework of the ongoing control they exercise over this type of crime.
The City Lottery, together with FEJA, maintains coordinated work to combat illegal gambling and protect the most vulnerable sectors, especially minors who can access platforms without controls or identity verification.
