Chubut Lottery achieves WLA certification
The Institute of Social Assistance, the Chubut Lottery, obtained the international Level 2 certification of the World Lottery Association's Responsible Gaming Framework, a recognition that accredits the application of policies and good practices aimed at protecting players. To reach that instance, the body had to survey, organise and present more than a hundred pieces of evidence proving compliance with the association's standards.
The documentation was uploaded through the specialised DigitalRG platform, with the technical accompaniment of advisor Andrea Spolita, while the general coordination was in the hands of Analía Nahuelpang and of the games of chance administration and management technician Daniela Mellao, who articulated the work among the areas and gathered the required information. An international panel of independent evaluators then analysed that evidence and verified the degree of compliance, and its favourable opinion enabled the ascent to the second level. According to the certification's criteria, that step accredits that the organisation formalised its commitment to the entity's responsible gaming principles and carried out an integral self-assessment to detect improvement opportunities, in addition to defining a roadmap backed by the leadership, a specific governance structure and institutional policies to advance progressively.
From the institute they clarified that Level 2 is not an arrival point but the start of a new stage, with challenges such as strengthening structured responsible gaming programmes, consolidating player protection mechanisms and advancing toward higher certification levels. The entity held that the recognition places it among the bodies committed to international standards and reaffirms a policy based on transparency, social responsibility, prevention and community protection.
The World Lottery Association is an organisation that groups lotteries and state gambling operators from different markets of the world and promotes good practices in responsible gaming. Its certification framework is structured in progressive levels, and reaching each one requires proving compliance with increasingly demanding standards in player protection.
