LOTBA rolls out a busy schedule for Responsible Gambling Week
Under the slogan of its flagship campaign, the Buenos Aires City Lottery will carry out a series of actions until February 26. The central objective is to raise awareness about healthy gambling, prevent risky behaviors, and combat illegal platforms, with a special focus on protecting minors.
Within the framework of International Responsible Gambling Day, Lotería de la Ciudad (LOTBA) has launched an ambitious agenda of activities integrated into its permanent prevention program. The campaign, called “Talking is Winning”, seeks to create spaces for dialogue in families, schools, and clubs to discourage minors from accessing gambling.
Information Stands and Technology at the Service of Prevention
Starting this Wednesday, February 18, the entity will set up information stands at official agencies, the Hipódromo de Palermo, and the Casino de Buenos Aires. At these points, educational material will be distributed, and key messages will be projected on gaming terminals, such as: “If you bet illegally, you always lose” and “Gambling is only for those over 18 years old”.
In addition, new agile and completely online support tools will be presented, such as the Self-Exclusion system and the player guidance line, facilitating access to professional support for those who need it.
The Online Sector and the ".bet.ar" Identity
A fundamental point on the agenda is the reinforcement of legality. LOTBA will place special emphasis on the importance of betting only on authorized sites with the .bet.ar domain. Online gaming agencies will join the initiative by disseminating campaign messages on their social networks and platforms, consolidating a united front against the informal market.
Institutional and Visibility Actions
The week's agenda includes prominent events and federal collaborations:
- Talking is Winning Cup: On Friday, February 20, this trophy will be awarded for the third consecutive year in a special race at the Hipódromo de Palermo.
- Green light for responsible gambling: LOTBA joins the initiative of the Asociación de Loterías, Quinielas y Casinos Estatales de Argentina (ALEA). The Lottery building will be lit green, and virtual training for official agents will be provided.
- Internal culture: Interactive activities will be carried out with the organization's employees to promote reflection on ethics and legality in the sector.
With this deployment, the City of Buenos Aires reaffirms its leadership in Responsible Gambling policies, understanding that the best prevention tool is information and the promotion of healthy habits in a regulated and safe environment.
