Six more provinces adhere to ALEA's code
The Association of Argentine State Lotteries expanded the scope of its responsible communication code. During a meeting of its board of directors in the City of Buenos Aires, with representatives from eighteen jurisdictions across the country, the adherence of six new provinces to the Code of Good Practices for Responsible Commercial Communication in Online and Land-Based Gambling was formalized: Salta, Corrientes, Chaco, Catamarca, La Rioja, and La Pampa.
With these additions, according to the association, the code continues to extend its application in the country and promotes common criteria for communicating gambling responsibly, within a framework that the entity linked to the commitment of the jurisdictions and its members to the protection of vulnerable individuals and the strengthening of legal gambling. The document is not new: in July, ALEA had presented a revised and integrated 2026 version, an update to the code originally published in 2021 that seeks to adapt to the evolution of the digital ecosystem and the new regulatory challenges of the sector.
The meeting also served to review tools and work related to the current challenges of the activity, in addition to advancing the organization of the association's 70th Extraordinary Assembly, which will be held from November 4 to 6 in Puerto Madryn, in the province of Chubut, and for which an preview of the next venue has already been presented.
The Association of Argentine State Lotteries is the entity that brings together the lottery and gambling organizations of the provinces and the City of Buenos Aires, and functions as a coordination space to establish common criteria regarding regulation, responsible gambling, and communication. Its code of good practices is one of the tools with which the state sector seeks to align gambling advertising and communication with responsibility standards throughout the country.
