2026 Brasileirão: Significant Sponsorship Market Movements

2026 Brasileirão: Significant Sponsorship Market Movements

Projections indicate that up to 40% of Serie A clubs could change their main sponsor, in a context marked by contract renegotiations, the end of agreements, and a strategic review of commercial partnerships, with a strong presence of the betting sector.

So far, only one change is confirmed. Cruzeiro will stop displaying the Betfair brand on the main space of their jersey and will start showcasing Betnacional. Both brands belong to the same business group, which decided to reorganize its strategy within the Brazilian market.

At the same time, Betfair aims to be out of the first division of national football. The contract with Vasco da Gama, which included an annual contribution of R$ 70 million, ended at the close of the 2025 season and was not renewed. Thus, the Rio de Janeiro club is looking for a new commercial partner to occupy the most valuable spot on their kit.

Renegotiations and greater caution

Corinthians is part of the group of clubs reviewing the values of their current contracts. After the announcement of the agreement between Flamengo and Betano, valued at R$ 268 million per season, the management of the São Paulo club requested an adjustment from Esportes da Sorte. Talks remain open and a change of sponsor is not ruled out.

However, Corinthians rejected a proposal to create the TimãoBet brand together with Responsa Gaming Brasil Limitada, considering that the company did not offer the necessary solidity for a large-scale contract. This stance reflects a more cautious strategy, influenced by recent experiences that caused institutional wear, such as the agreements with VaideBet and Taunsa.

Other clubs are also advancing in renegotiations. Coritiba and Chapecoense, recently promoted to Serie A, seek to improve the economic conditions of their contracts with Reals and Aurora, respectively, given the new sporting and commercial scenario that competing in the top tier implies.

One of the most relevant episodes of the year involved Grêmio and Internacional. Initially presented as the largest sponsorship contract in the history of both clubs, the agreement with Alfa foresaw a duration of three seasons and a minimum income of R$ 50 million annually for each institution.

However, payment delays led Grêmio to terminate the contract at the beginning of December. The club played the last matches of the Brasileirão with the EnergiaBet brand through a specific agreement and is currently negotiating with new interested parties. Internacional, for its part, has not yet officially communicated a decision regarding the future of the alliance.

Despite the market volatility, some clubs maintain stability in their main sponsorships, largely thanks to long-term contracts. The most emblematic case is Red Bull Bragantino, whose sponsoring brand is also the owner of the club.

Additionally, Fluminense has a contract with Superbet until 2030 and Flamengo maintains its link with Betano until 2028. Atlético-MG, Botafogo, Palmeiras, São Paulo, and Vitória also have agreements in force until 2027 with their respective sponsors.

The year 2026 will be the last for Athletico-PR and Bahia’s contracts with Viva Sorte Bet. In the case of Santos, the relationship with 7K was terminated early. In a joint statement, both parties reported that the decision was consensual and that some contractual actions will still be executed in the coming weeks.

Among the possible candidates to occupy the main space on the São Paulo club’s jersey is Betano. According to information from the club’s environment, the company would be willing to invest around R$ 70 million per season.

Finally, Mirassol is the only club that maintains total confidentiality about its main sponsor for 2026. In the current season, the team displayed the Poty and 7K brands on their uniform, the latter being considered the main sponsor for representing the largest financial contribution.

The outlook confirms that the Brazilian football sponsorship market is going through a stage of profound transformation, driven by the consolidation of sports betting, but also by greater demands for professionalism, financial guarantees, and sustainability in commercial partnerships.
