Bragg Gaming Group buys Drayton International for content

Bragg Gaming Group announced on May 14 the signing of a preliminary binding agreement to acquire Drayton International, a diversified technology and content platform for the gaming sector. The operation aims to strengthen Bragg's position in the iGaming value chain, focusing on the development and distribution of proprietary content.

As part of the anticipated closing of the transaction, Matt Davey, founder and chairman of the investment fund Tekkorp Capital and a recognized figure in the sector, will join Bragg's Board of Directors as non-executive chairman. Davey's arrival, who had previously acquired a significant block of shares, reinforces market confidence in the new growth phase the company is entering.

The acquisition of Drayton is part of Bragg's explicit strategy to pivot towards a model more focused on proprietary games and less dependent on third-party platform services. This transition accompanies a global trend among iGaming providers, who seek to capture more margin and differentiate themselves through an exclusive catalog and intellectual property, in a market where pure aggregation has become commoditized.

The announcement comes at a time of consolidation in the international sector, with mergers and acquisitions continuing to reshape the competitive landscape. Davey's addition to the Board adds a layer of financial and strategic credibility, during a period when Bragg seeks to capitalize on emerging regulated markets and consolidate agreements in high-growth jurisdictions.

For Latin America, this move is relevant because Bragg has been working on its regional positioning in markets such as Brazil, Argentina, and Colombia, where the demand for proprietary content and integration with local platforms are growing at the pace of regulatory maturation. A company with stronger content capabilities and a board reinforced by specialized industry capital is better positioned to compete for slots with Latin American operators who are beginning to refine their catalogs.
