The iGaming market in Brazil is characterized by a predominantly recreational consumption profile with low financial impact on the average user's pocket. A recent report from the Ministry of Finance, obtained by the fintech Pay4Fun through the Access to Information Law (LAI), reveals that 53.4 percent of bettors in the country spend less than 50 reais per month on sports betting and online gaming platforms. This data is fundamental to understanding the dynamics of a sector that, after its recent regulation, is beginning to show transparent figures on the consumption habits of a population that views betting as a form of leisure rather than a means of livelihood.

The detailed mapping of monthly spending shows a distribution where high expenditures are the exception, not the rule. While a large majority remain in minimal ranges, 11.45 percent of users invest between 50.01 and 150 reais per month. At intermediate levels, 6.4 percent spend between 150.01 and 300 reais, and 9.4 percent fall into the range of 300.01 to 1,000 reais. The segment with higher purchasing power or frequency, which allocates more than 1,000 reais per month, represents 19.5 percent of bettors, equivalent to about 4.3 million people nationwide.
