OKTO connects six sportsbooks with Pix in Brazil
OKTO PAYMENTS launched its operation with A2FBR and is now processing payments with Pix for six of the group's brands in Brazil: Pinnacle, Matchbook, BetEspecial, Bolsa de Aposta, Fulltbet, and BetBra. The integration was carried out in a single coordinated launch, with its own operational setup behind each platform, positioning the firm as one of the group's strategic payment partners in the country.
The agreement comes in a market where Pix has become almost exclusive. The instant payment system accounts for 54.7 percent of all transactions in Brazil and more than 99 percent of the payment volume in the betting sector, which, with 25 million active bettors, is the fifth largest in the world. In this context, any operator that does not offer a fast and stable experience with Pix loses conversion opportunities, a point that the integration sought to resolve by addressing the group's multi-brand structure.
Beyond Pix, A2FBR added OKTO PAYMENTS' internet banking solution, a banking and cash management platform that includes a real-time dashboard, detailed account statements, internal and Pix transfers, bill and tax payments, invoicing, a multi-user approval scheme, and granular permissions. The General Manager of OKTO PAYMENTS in Brazil, Leonardo Chaves, described the project as a sophisticated integration due to its magnitude—six brands with their own structures and the same performance requirements—and stated that this is the type of environment for which the company designed its systems. For his part, A2FBR's CFO, Rafael Tavares, emphasized that the company is selective with its partners and prioritizes those who share its commitment to transparency, compliance, and security, conditions that, in his opinion, OKTO demonstrated from the outset.
OKTO PAYMENTS is a payment solutions provider focused on the gaming and betting industry, offering infrastructure for deposits and withdrawals, treasury, and banking services to operators. Pix, meanwhile, is the instant payment system of the Central Bank of Brazil, which in a few years has become the dominant means of moving money in the country and, in particular, the channel through which almost all transactions of sportsbooks pass.
