RubyPlay launches engagement tools with Missions and Tournaments

RubyPlay introduced its new suite of engagement tools, a proposal that differentiates itself from the industry standard by integrating retention mechanics directly within the game, instead of acting as a separate promotional layer in the wallet. The first package includes two modules: Missions and Tournaments.

Missions allows operators to set up campaigns where players complete specific objectives within the slot in exchange for immediate rewards, while Tournaments adds a competitive and time-limited element, with a ranking of points generated by specific events such as landing high-value symbols or activating special features.

Engagement born from gameplay

The technical differential of the proposal lies in its architecture. The tools do not function as an external overlay to the title, but rather run within the game engine itself, which allows rewards to be linked to real moments of the session. For RubyPlay, this approach produces a more coherent player journey and reinforces the emotional connection with each slot, instead of competing with the core experience.

Tsachi Maimon, CEO of RubyPlay, explained that most of the engagement mechanisms available in the market are built on wallet activity or general player behavior patterns. The company decided to take the opposite path and design Missions and Tournaments around the real events that trigger attention during the session.

Cross-ecosystem deployment across RubyPlay

The distribution will reach the entire group's portfolio and extend to its associated studios, including RubyPlay Studio, Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, xSlots, and Firerose. Each will be able to embed Missions and Tournaments into their titles, which multiplies the reach of the tool and makes it a unified commercial argument for operators integrating any brand from the ecosystem.

The launch has relevant implications for Latin America, a region where player retention has become a decisive metric in already competitive markets such as Colombia, Peru, and Buenos Aires, and where Brazil has just inaugurated its regulated scheme with operators in a steep learning curve. Tools that allow for deeper sessions without resorting to aggressive bonuses align with the regulatory pressure for more responsible advertising and promotions, a trend that is accelerating across LatAm.
