Sportradar seals global official data partnership with Kalshi

Sportradar made a strategic move in one of the hottest segments of the sports ecosystem by signing a multi-year global agreement with Kalshi, one of the prediction market platforms making the most noise in the United States. The partnership positions the Swiss provider as the official data and solutions supplier for Kalshi, with a broad portfolio of content for major North American leagues: MLB, NHL, MLS, UFC, among others. This move further solidifies Sportradar's position in an emerging market that, in a few months, went from being a regulatory curiosity to a multi-billion dollar business.

The agreement goes far beyond a simple data feed. Sportradar will deliver a package of solutions under the Prediction Services umbrella, which includes official sports data and live odds for accurate pricing before and during matches, dynamic content to enhance fan engagement, marketing services to attract high-value customers, and a robust integrity framework supported by its AI-based fraud detection system UFDS AI and the Sportradar Integrity Exchange network for sharing alerts among market participants.

A move that extends beyond Kalshi

The move has a second relevant layer: the partnership enables Sportradar to sign agreements directly with Kalshi's main partners, including brokers and market makers, offering official real-time data and scalable solutions across the entire value chain. In other words, the provider positions itself as critical infrastructure for the prediction market ecosystem, in an architecture reminiscent of what it built for years in the regulated sports betting segment.

Carsten Koerl, CEO of Sportradar, set the tone by describing prediction markets as a key growth engine of the global sports ecosystem and emphasizing the provider's role in establishing a reliable and compliant framework for sports innovation, replicating the path it successfully took in online betting. From Kalshi's side, Tarek Mansour, co-founder and CEO, highlighted the breadth and depth of the alliance, the operational benefits of using official league data, and the collaboration on an integrity monitoring program designed to protect the end-user.

The LatAm impact of a global agreement

What happens between Sportradar and Kalshi is not confined to the United States. Prediction markets are already on the regulatory agenda of several Latin American countries, with Brazil recently publishing a resolution from the National Monetary Council on platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi, while regulators in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Colombia are closely following the issue. With Sportradar established as an official data and integrity provider, governments and regional operators now have a clear reference for how institutionality is built in this segment.

For Latin American stakeholders, the interpretation is twofold. On one hand, regulators receive signals about the type of technical and integrity infrastructure that prediction markets demand if they are to operate with a minimum of legal certainty and consumer protection. On the other hand, regional operators and providers have a map of the capabilities that are coming to compete: real-time feeds, AI applied to the detection of suspicious behavior, high-value-oriented marketing programs, and the possibility of integrating into a global network for exchanging threat information. In a scenario where Latin America is preparing to define its stance on prediction markets, alliances like this will set the pace of the conversation.
