Sportradar to boost basketball integrity and data in Brazil

Brazil's National Basketball League (LNB) has sealed a strategic alliance with Sportradar Group AG that will transform the international projection of Brazilian basketball. This multi-year agreement positions the technology firm as the official partner for data management, audiovisual rights, and integrity services across the entire ecosystem of the country's most important professional league. The collaboration covers high-level competitions such as the NBB Caixa, the Copa Super 8, and various development leagues, ensuring comprehensive coverage that encompasses both elite sports and the training of new talent.

Through this union, the LNB will adopt cutting-edge tools integrated into Sportradar's Synergy ecosystem. Among the standout solutions are Synergy Stats, focused on advanced statistics collection, and Synergy Coaching, an AI-powered video analysis platform. These systems will allow coaching staff to conduct much deeper scouting, evaluating their own talent and that of rivals with high-precision metrics that were previously not widely available in the South American market.

The protection of the competition is another fundamental pillar of this agreement. Sportradar will implement its Universal Fraud Detection System (UFDS AI) to monitor more than 620 matches per season. This monitoring technology will be complemented by educational workshops for players, referees, and executives, with the aim of shielding Brazilian basketball from the threats of match-fixing and sports corruption. The goal is to guarantee a transparent environment that is attractive to both fans and regulated betting operators.

Sergio Floris, Sportradar's Managing Director in Brazil, emphasized that this alliance is a natural step for the company, which already has a consolidated presence in football with the CBF and in volleyball with the CBV. For his part, LNB president Rodrigo Montoro noted that this partnership places Brazilian basketball in a privileged position in the global data and innovation market, allowing the league to scale its competitive and organizational level over the next four years.

With this addition, Sportradar completes its presence in the three most followed sports disciplines by the Brazilian public. This move reinforces its role as the leading technology provider in the region, offering solutions that combine the passion of sports with the security required by new iGaming regulations in the country.
