Chilean casinos start 2026 with over US$53 million in January revenue

The land-based gaming industry in Chile reported a strong performance during the first month of the year, according to the latest statistical bulletin from the Superintendencia de Casinos de Juego (SCJ). The 25 operational venues in the country, which include the 22 establishments regulated by Law N° 19.995 and the three casinos under municipal concession, generated gross gaming revenue (Win) totaling CLP 47,270 million (approx. US$ 53.4 million) during January 2026.

This level of activity had a direct impact on regional and local coffers, contributing CLP 6,972 million (US$ 7.9 million) in specific gaming tax. Following current regulations, these resources are distributed equally between regional governments and the municipalities where the venues are located, in order to finance development works and social infrastructure in their respective communities.

Visitor flow and consumer behavior

The Chilean regulator's report highlights that the sector received a total of 527,500 visits during the summer period of January. Breaking down spending behavior, the average expenditure per customer was CLP 89,609 (US$ 101), a figure that reflects the resilience of the land-based entertainment segment in the country.
