Enjoy bills 16.4% less and sustains its EBITDA with cost cutting
In a semester where its revenues contracted by 16.41 percent, Enjoy managed to close its EBITDA slightly above the previous year, with CLP 4,702 million (USD 5.03 million) compared to CLP 4,573 million. The Chilean operator explained this improvement by the cost containment measures it applied to offset the drop in turnover, within the new revenue and cost structure of the companies grouped under the Newco 3 denomination.
The financial report for the first half of 2026 shows accumulated revenues of CLP 22,613,672,000, equivalent to USD 24.3 million, of which CLP 19,260 million (USD 20.6 million) corresponded to gaming activity. Operationally, the company reported losses of CLP 16,312 million (USD 17.5 million), a deterioration of 132.1 percent compared to the first half of 2025, when the result of its operational activities had been positive.
The company did not hesitate to point out those responsible for this setback. In its analysis, it stated that sportsbooks and online platforms operating in Chile without a specific regulatory framework, along with unregulated slot machine halls installed in different cities, captured a significant portion of the market's revenue. According to Enjoy, the emergence of these players accelerated the migration of users towards remote and alternative gaming modalities and turned them into a significant competitor for traditional land-based casinos.
The company added that the blow is even harder because land-based casinos were already experiencing a sustained decline in revenue and public attendance since the social unrest and the pandemic. During this period, Enjoy went through two judicial reorganization processes, the second of which was signed in August 2024, and returned its casino licenses in Viña del Mar, Pucón, and Coquimbo.
Enjoy is one of the main casino and hotel operators in Chile and in recent months has been reorganizing its asset perimeter, with operations such as the agreement with the Brazilian group JHSF for Enjoy Punta del Este. Its diagnosis of unregulated competition coincides with the progress of the legislative debate on online gambling in the country, in which this same week the Senate's Economic Commission proposed that licenses be granted only to companies incorporated in Chile.
