Chilean casinos exceed US$436m in revenue during 2025
The casino industry in Chile closed 2025 with solid results. According to the latest report from the Superintendence of Gambling Casinos (SCJ), the venues generated revenues of 417.828 billion Chilean pesos, equivalent to US$436.797m, in addition to contributing more than US$67m in taxes and receiving over 4.8 million visits.
The majority of the revenue came from casinos regulated under Law 19.995, which accounted for 388.096 billion pesos. Municipal casinos, meanwhile, contributed 29.732 billion pesos. The average spending per visitor, measured in dollars, reached US$956.57.
Fiscal contribution and average spending
Casinos operated under Law 19.995 contributed 64.214 billion Chilean pesos in specific taxes (about US$67m). Added to this are 61.964 billion pesos from VAT on gambling, equivalent to US$64m.
More than 4.8 million visits
During 2025, casinos under Law 19.995 recorded 4.5 million visitors. Municipal casinos received 279,605 people, with an average spending of US$88.5 per visitor.
The entrance tax generated approximately US$22.9m, consolidating the industry as one of the key players in tax collection related to entertainment and tourism.
