Coljuegos adds MrYoker as a licensed operator in Colombia
The Colombian gaming regulator, Coljuegos, has given the green light to a new competitor in the country's online market after signing concession contract C2261 of 2026. The authorization allows the MrYoker brand, operated by Global Vitxo S.A.S., to legally market sports betting, live casino, and virtual slots under state supervision.
With this addition, Colombia now has fifteen online operators with valid licenses, a figure that confirms the country's regulatory dynamism and its position as one of the most mature markets in Latin America. The concession granted to Global Vitxo has an initial duration of five years, extending the operational validity of the new brand until 2031.
Financial Projections and Contribution to the Health System
According to the approved business plan, MrYoker estimates generating gross revenues close to 2.83 trillion Colombian pesos during its first five years of activity. This performance will translate into an estimated contribution of 27.282 billion pesos in exploitation rights and administrative expenses, resources that, by legal mandate, directly finance the nation's subsidized health system.
The Colombian scheme allocates all monopoly gaming revenue to public health, a particularity that differentiates Colombia from other regulated markets in the region and has sustained political support for the model in recent years. So far in 2026, authorized platforms have already transferred a total of 253.224 billion pesos to the regulatory body for exploitation rights.
A Market in Sustained Expansion
The addition of licenses responds to the industrial revitalization plan promoted by the current administration, which seeks to channel the exponential growth of online gaming within the regulated perimeter and reduce the presence of informal operators. Each new authorization strengthens competition and forces established players to invest in product, retention, and user experience.
The case of MrYoker is part of a trend across Latin America: online gaming as a strategic vertical for financing social policies. While Brazil consolidates its regulated market, Peru deepens its licensing scheme, and Argentina advances with provincial regulations, Colombia maintains the continental lead with a model that combines openness, control, and direct fiscal contribution to the healthcare system.
