Risaralda Lottery reported record sales in 2025
Lotería del Risaralda presented its political control report for the 2025 fiscal year and the first quarter of 2026 to the Departmental Assembly, showing record sales and collection figures, with an emphasis on its social responsibility and digital transformation programs. During the session, the entity's manager, Bibiana Garcés González, stated that the results consolidate the lottery as one of the fastest-growing in the country and attributed this performance to the commercial strategy and collaboration with its network of vendors.
According to the report, Lotería del Risaralda positioned itself as the second lottery in Colombia with the highest sales growth in 2025, with an increase of 19.1 percent compared to the previous year. Sales exceeded 31 billion pesos, approximately 7.5 million dollars, while total collection amounted to more than 53 billion, about 12.8 million dollars. The entity also transferred more than 8 billion pesos, nearly 1.93 million dollars, to finance the public health system, and paid a similar amount in prizes to players from different regions of the country.
In terms of management, the lottery reported 92 percent compliance with its strategic plan and highlighted the sale of electronic tickets through its own platform, with which it seeks to expand its reach to new customer segments. It also emphasized the strengthening of campaigns against illegal gambling and a growth of over 900 percent in the reach and views of its institutional social media.
Among its social initiatives, the entity highlighted programs aimed at improving the conditions of lottery vendors, promoted in conjunction with the Government of Risaralda, which included daily lunches, food kits, supplies, support for housing improvements, and health and vision care days for the sales force. Garcés González stated that the first step of the management was to dignify the vendors who sustain the activity and projected continued impact in a department that needs it.
The results received the support of the deputies of the Departmental Assembly, who highlighted the balance between commercial growth and social focus. Deputy Paola Nieto praised the entity's leadership and the incorporation of electronic tickets to reach new markets, as well as the creation of a safe point to address cases of gender-based violence, while Deputy Ferney Londoño stated that the management exceeded initial projections and consolidated a productive lottery without financial risks but with social sensitivity. In closing, Garcés González thanked them for their support and set the next challenge as increasing the lottery's presence in all municipalities of the department.
