Cibelae: High-impact 2026 after Ibero-America growth consolidation
The Corporation presented a positive report for 2025, marked by technical training and sustainability. For the new cycle, the strategic agenda will prioritize the fight against illegal gambling in Costa Rica and new marketing trends in Argentina.
The Ibero-American Corporation of State Lotteries and Bets (Cibelae) has formalized its roadmap for 2026, following a year of management that reaffirmed its leadership as a reference body for state operators. The 2025 report set a solid precedent, based on regional cooperation and the professionalization of lotteries in an increasingly complex digital ecosystem.
According to the official report, the success of the previous year was built on three in-person pillars: institutional marketing in Buenos Aires, sustainability and responsible gaming in Foz do Iguaçu, and the dynamism of sports betting analyzed during the XIX Cibelae Congress in Asunción.
Roadmap 2026: Integrity and Innovation
For this new cycle, Cibelae has designed a "high strategic value" agenda aimed at deepening the modernization of institutions and market security.
- Security and Fight Against Illegal Gambling: The first major milestone of the semester will take place in San José, Costa Rica. The "Illegal Gambling and Security Seminar" will focus on prevention, strengthening regulatory frameworks (a sensitive topic after recent legislative debates in that country), and inter-institutional cooperation to safeguard legal markets.
- Marketing in Times of Change: Due to the success of its first edition, Buenos Aires will once again host the Ibero-American Marketing Seminar. This second edition will focus on the use of new technologies and trend analysis to improve the relationship between state lotteries and new consumer profiles.
A Key Role in Sustainable Development
The Corporation emphasizes that the strategic axes for 2026 will continue to be integrity, innovation, and security. Cibelae seeks that state lotteries are not only efficient in terms of revenue collection but also lead standards of social responsibility and modernization throughout Ibero-America.
