The Social Protection Board launches the instant game Surfing Millions
The Social Protection Board (JPS) of Costa Rica has announced the launch of its new instant game called Surfing Millions, a scratch-off lottery proposal aimed at capturing the attention of Costa Rican bettors and strengthening fundraising for social causes.
The game mechanism is simple: the participant must scratch the designated area on the ticket and, if they find the same symbol three times, they win the prize indicated on the ticket. Each ticket costs CRC 500, equivalent to just under one US dollar, making it accessible to a wide range of players.
The JPS reported that the initial issue of Surfing Millions consists of one million tickets, representing an important opportunity both for players and for the institution, which allocates its profits to social programs in the country. The prize distribution is as follows: - 175,000 prizes of CRC 500 (approximately USD 1) - 108,000 prizes of CRC 1,000 (USD 2) - 30,000 prizes of CRC 2,000 (USD 4) - 200 prizes of CRC 10,000 (USD 20) - 20 prizes of CRC 50,000 (USD 100) - 15 prizes of CRC 100,000 (USD 200) - 4 prizes of CRC 1,000,000 (USD 2,000) - 3 prizes of CRC 2,000,000 (USD 4,000) - 1 grand prize of CRC 20,000,000 (USD 40,000)
This wide range of prizes, from small amounts to a grand prize of CRC 20 million, aims to encourage participation and increase excitement among players. Additionally, the ticket’s affordable price and the possibility of winning instant prizes make Surfing Millions an attractive option within the JPS game portfolio.
