DATA.BET accelerates with a 168% jump in its virtual football business

The provider DATA.BET presented the figures for its virtual content line, making it clear that this segment is one of the main drivers of its growth. Between Q1 2025 and Q1 2026, virtual content came to represent 39 percent of the company's total virtual sports business volume and 45 percent of the profits generated by that vertical. The company attributes this progress to developing the entire ecosystem in-house, without reliance on third parties.

The commercial metrics for the period support this narrative. Active users grew by 299 percent, customer GGR by 129 percent, events per quarter climbed by 246 percent, and bets placed by 218 percent. The total business volume of virtual content expanded by 168 percent year-on-year, a figure the provider presents as proof of the product's maturation and the shift in bettors' habits towards digital offerings.

The product is built on bot-vs-bot matches that run automatically 24 hours a day, without the participation of real players and without depending on sports competition calendars. This logic allows for covering gaps during off-peak seasons and maintaining game flow even during windows with little real action. For operators, this translates into more stable revenue, less operational exposure, and better retention during traditional football breaks.

The technical argument DATA.BET defends relates to controlling the production chain. By developing content entirely in-house, the team directly manages market configuration, update cycles, and integration with streaming, with virtually zero latency between video and book movements. This enables In-Stream Betting with real-time market overlay, which is becoming a competitive differentiator in the sportsbook business.

“Over the past year, our bot-vs-bot virtual content has delivered consistent and measurable results in every operator implementation. Developing e-Football in-house gives us the flexibility to configure it according to what each operator truly needs, whether it's a specific league structure, a particular combination of bot content and player content, or a customized competition format,” summarized Rostyslav Likhtin, Head of Product at DATA.BET. The message aims to position the product as a management tool, not just entertainment.

For the Latin American market, this data is relevant. Virtual sports and bot-vs-bot football have established themselves as an ideal complement to the real calendar, especially in countries with a strong football culture such as Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Mexico, and Peru. In a scenario where operators seek to differentiate their digital offering amidst regulatory pressure and competition from global platforms, virtual content appears as a stable-margin vertical, without exposure to fraud and with retention potential throughout the year.
