RubyPlay acquires Splash Tech, adding jackpots and free-to-play

RubyPlay, a B2B iGaming developer, announced that it has signed an agreement to acquire one hundred percent of the shares of Splash Tech, in a move that expands its reach beyond content creation to also offer platform-level engagement tools. The acquisition will allow it to add one of the sector's most robust jackpot solutions, as well as free-to-play casino and sports betting functionalities, to an engagement ecosystem that already includes free spins, rewards, missions, and tournaments.

As explained, the incorporation of Splash Tech's solutions strengthens RubyPlay's offering and provides operators in regulated markets with new ways to increase ROI and revenue, as well as improve player acquisition, engagement, retention, cross-sell, and monetization. Splash Tech has a comprehensive portfolio of engagement tools already used by some of the industry's largest operators and platform providers, and its core real-money jackpot solution removes the limitations of single-vendor systems by creating a broad and scalable layer capable of transforming any product, across different verticals, into a jackpot game.

Once the transaction is closed, RubyPlay's operator partners will have access to Splash Tech's jackpot and free-to-play solutions, designed to drive engagement in both third-party content and the company's own titles. RubyPlay also plans to launch exclusive functionalities for its games, adding value to its specialized studios Koala Games, Mad Hat Games, xSlots, and Firerose.

Tsachi Maimon, CEO of RubyPlay, stated that with this acquisition, the company goes beyond the traditional content-only model to consolidate itself as a premium content and engagement platform provider, a positioning that, he said, guarantees new revenue streams for its partners with effective acquisition and retention tools. He also highlighted Splash Tech's reputation for innovation in engagement tools and described the incorporation of these capabilities as a decisive moment in RubyPlay's evolution.

For his part, Adam Wilson, CEO of Splash Tech, maintained that becoming part of RubyPlay gives the firm a stronger foundation for growth while maintaining continuity as a principle of the transition, so that its partners will continue to rely on the same products, expertise, and trusted relationship, while he looks forward to working with new partners within the group. The transaction is still subject to regulatory approval, and once completed, Splash Tech will be officially integrated into RubyPlay.
