SOFTSWISS opens predictive markets for sportsbooks with live operator

SOFTSWISS took a key step in its commitment to integrating predictive markets into the traditional sports betting ecosystem. The company shared the learnings from the first operator to launch its Prediction Markets product, N1 Bet, in an interview with Focus Gaming News, where the brand reviewed the initial performance of a category that for years remained outside the radar of regulated operators.

A category that grew outside the sportsbook

The diagnosis that motivated the development is not new, but few industry players dared to act. Predictive markets, driven globally by platforms like Polymarket and Kalshi, captured a significant volume of legitimate bets in the last two years that remained almost entirely outside the traditional sportsbook. For SOFTSWISS, this activity represented lost economic value and a clear sign that the classic offering was not covering all public needs.

Kamenetskii, the provider's technical voice in the interview, put it bluntly. A legitimate, high-volume betting segment formed completely outside the ecosystem of traditional operators, and most of the industry chose to observe rather than act. The reason, according to the executive, lies in the technical and regulatory complexity of pure peer-to-peer exchanges, which require building liquidity from scratch, taking on KYC and compliance challenges, and relinquishing control over margin and revenue predictability.

N1 Bet as a pilot test

N1 Bet took on the role of the product's first adopter and anticipated the consolidation of a category that mixes the P2P model with fixed odds formats. SOFTSWISS built an architecture that retains the advantages of traditional sports betting, such as margin and operational predictability, but incorporates the logic of predictive markets for topics that do not fit into a classic sports grid, from political elections to macroeconomic or cultural events.

The company announced that the operator's initial data shows a player profile that does not completely overlap with that of the usual sports bettor. The category attracts users who combine an interest in current events with an appetite for probability analysis, an audience that values the offering of markets on non-traditional topics and often could not find a regulated channel to channel that demand.

For LatAm, the launch has a particular interpretation. Brazil has just enabled the regulatory debate on predictive markets based on Resolution 5.298 of the National Monetary Council, and other markets such as Argentina, Colombia, and Chile are closely following the issue. If SOFTSWISS can show that Prediction Markets can be offered within the framework of a regulated sportsbook, with solid KYC and adjusted compliance, the path for Latin American operators to explore the category becomes much clearer.
