Apuesta Total completes the unification of its retail network and online operations
Apuesta Total, one of the largest remote sports betting operators in Peru, has completed the deployment of its Apuesta Total Live retail operation on Calímaco's omnichannel platform. This integration unifies its entire physical network with its online operation. The project, developed jointly by both teams over approximately two months, marks a significant milestone for the Peruvian ecosystem and is part of the wave of strategic moves that followed the implementation of the new remote gambling regulatory framework.
The initiative stemmed from a clear objective set by the operator: to bring the physical network to the same technological level as its online operation. This robust online operation processes over 36,000 transactions every five minutes and handles approximately 2.7 billion in annual gaming volume. Until now, this engine operated separately from the physical channel, an architecture that left a significant portion of the business's omnichannel potential untapped. With the deployment now complete, Apuesta Total is positioned to operate both its channels as a single unit.
417 locations, 903 terminals, and a single account for the player
The implementation is now fully operational across the 417 locations and 903 terminals that make up Apuesta Total's network in Peru. The central innovation for the Peruvian bettor is a true omnichannel experience, with a single account and balance between online and retail, the ability to place bets in a physical location and cash out online, or do the reverse if preferred, and to nominate the bet at each physical point for complete traceability of the operation. This change directly addresses one of the historical weaknesses of Latin American retail, where customers had to deal with two parallel universes under the same brand.
From the operator's perspective, unification means centralized management of the entire network, with real-time reporting and complete product parity across channels. The back-office layer allows for reading the same information, the same KPIs, and the same risks for any channel, a significant advantage for operations, risk, and marketing teams, who previously had to perform manual integration tasks to get a consolidated view. Calímaco, as the platform provider, reinforces its profile as a technological partner for large-scale retail operations in regulated Latin American markets with this milestone.
A signal for the Peruvian market and the region
This move comes at a pivotal moment for the Peruvian online gaming business, with the implementation of the regulatory framework, pressure from major international operators to gain ground, and a public that quickly adopted digital betting without abandoning the ritual of physical locations. Apuesta Total's consolidation as an operator with a unified retail network and a functional omnichannel platform gives it a concrete competitive advantage over competitors who still operate with fragmented stacks or rely on partial integrations with their technology providers.
For the rest of the region, the Peruvian case serves as a proof of concept: in Latin American markets with high penetration of traditional retail and rapid growth of the digital channel, such as Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Brazil, and Uruguay, the battle for the player is increasingly being fought at the omnichannel level. Whoever manages to connect in-person betting with online accounts, prizes, payment methods, and digital promotion in a single experience gains an advantage that is difficult to replicate. The deployment by Apuesta Total and Calímaco is exactly the kind of move that other regional operators should start to watch closely.
