Cirsa acquires four casinos in Peru, strengthening local leadership
Cirsa Enterprises confirmed the closing of the acquisition of four casinos in Peru, a transaction carried out through its local subsidiary Gaming and Services. The establishments added to the Spanish group's portfolio are Casino New York, Casino Luxor, and Casino Pachanga, located in Lima, and Casino Mystic, situated in the city of Cusco.
The company highlighted that the operation aligns with its strategy of selective growth in fully regulated markets, further consolidating its position in Peru, a country where Cirsa has operated continuously since 1996. The company emphasized that this purchase strengthens its leadership in a key market, especially following the acquisition of Apuesta Total in 2024, one of the main sports betting and online gaming operators in the country.
In the official statement, Cirsa explained that the multiple applied in the transaction is in line with previous operations carried out by the group and that the purchase will be financed with available cash, with no significant impact expected on the company's leverage level.
The operation had already been anticipated in September, when the Chilean operator Dreams announced an agreement to sell these four casinos to Cirsa. Although the Spanish group did not disclose the final amount of the transaction, it was reported at that time that the sale value would be around US$18 million, subject to the usual adjustments foreseen in this type of operation. After the sale, Dreams retained only two casinos in the Peruvian market: Pachanga Independencia and Fiesta.
Peru consolidates as a relevant market within Cirsa's business. During the first half of the year, the country represented 9.8 percent of the group's EBITDA, positioning itself as its third most important market, behind Spain and Panama. With this acquisition, Cirsa strengthens its presence in the land-based segment, complementing its omnichannel strategy in one of the most dynamic and regulated gaming markets in the region.
