Indecopi revokes ban on lottery sales in pharmacies
Peru's Indecopi Superintendency has revoked the ban that prevented the sale of lotteries and all types of betting in pharmaceutical establishments. The decision, which represents a significant shift in Peruvian regulatory policy, reopens distribution channels for lottery products in pharmacies across the country.
The original ban had been implemented under consumer protection arguments, suggesting that the coexistence of medicines and betting at the same point of sale created conflicts of interest.
