Puerto Rico Electronic Lottery: 35 Years of Special Events
The Assistant Undersecretary of the Puerto Rico Lottery Bureau, Heidi Hernández Olivo, has announced a series of events to commemorate the 35th anniversary of the Electronic Lottery. The festivities will begin on July 18 in Ponce and conclude on November 8 at the Paseo de la Princesa in Old San Juan.
These events will include live drawings, music, and family activities, which will be broadcast by WIPR Television. Hernández Olivo highlighted the significant contribution of the Electronic Lottery to the development of Puerto Rico, noting that last fiscal year it contributed more than USD 122 million to the General Fund, allocated to health, education, sports, and services for senior citizens.
Additionally, the Lottery has experienced solid sales growth thanks to the introduction of new products and technology, including the PlayCentral machines, now available in 105 establishments.
