SBC Summit in Lisbon set for September until 2027

SBC Events has confirmed the schedule for its main global exhibition and conference, SBC Summit, and has already set specific dates for the next two editions in Lisbon. The event will return to the Feira Internacional de Lisboa and the MEO Arena from September 29 to October 1, 2026, and from September 21 to 23, 2027, maintaining its traditional location in the late European summer period.

According to the organization, securing these dates so far in advance is part of a deliberate strategy to provide certainty to the sector, avoiding scheduling conflicts and facilitating the commercial planning of exhibitors, sponsors, and attendees.

Rasmus Sojmark, CEO and founder of SBC, emphasized this point by highlighting that clarity in the calendar is key for the industry: partners need to plan ahead without surprises, and setting dates years in advance contributes to a more balanced global event calendar.

SBC has been holding its major international meeting in September since 2015, establishing it as the key event for the sector after the summer break in Europe. This positioning allows it to function as an ideal platform to boost sales, close strategic deals, and define the roadmap for the following year for operators, suppliers, affiliates, media, and other ecosystem players.

The 2026 edition will be scheduled slightly later than usual, a decision made to avoid coinciding with Jewish religious holidays in mid-September. From 2027 onwards, the dates will return to the traditional pattern of the second half of September.

The move of the event from Barcelona to Lisbon and its rebranding as SBC Summit marked a turning point in the event’s trajectory. Since then, the event has seen sustained growth both in the number of attendees and in participation from new companies, consolidating its reputation as one of the fastest-growing fairs and conferences in the global gaming industry. In the 2025 edition, more than half of the companies present attended for the first time, and a large majority of participants were new attendees, confirming its appeal as a networking and business generation forum.

Looking ahead to 2026, SBC projects welcoming around 35,000 professionals in Lisbon from the sports betting, iGaming, payments, marketing, and technology segments, with an expanded exhibition floor and a content agenda designed to cover the entire value chain of the sector.

The organization insists that its goal is not to compete with other events, but to serve the industry as a whole, coordinating with other players to avoid overlaps and maximize returns for those participating in multiple conferences throughout the year.

While operators and suppliers adjust their calendars for upcoming business cycles, SBC is already working on planning future editions of SBC Summit, which remain a must-attend stop on the global regulated gaming calendar.
