Paraguay collects $18.7 million from gaming in the first half
Paraguay's National Gaming Commission, Conajzar, reported that June's revenue reached 19,549,722,065 guaraníes, approximately 3.2 million dollars, bringing the accumulated total for the first half of the year to 113,794,640,158 guaraníes, about 18.7 million dollars.
The June figures represent a year-on-year growth of 3.8 percent compared to the same month in 2025, when revenues were 18,827,438,322 guaraníes, around 3.09 million dollars. The most significant jump appears in the semi-annual comparison, as the revenue collected between January and June 2026 represents a 16.5 percent increase compared to the same period last year, when 97,711,553,357 guaraníes, about 16 million dollars, were obtained.
The agency's report, which falls under the National Directorate of Tax Revenue, details the semester's evolution month by month. In January, revenues were 18.703 billion guaraníes, in February 18.022 billion, in March 18.583 billion, in April 19.301 billion, and in May 19.632 billion.
A portion of the collected fees is allocated to the Directorate of Charity and Social Assistance, which funds assistance programs for vulnerable sectors. The remaining resources are periodically transferred to governorates and municipalities for the execution of local projects, and also reach the Ministry of Sports, the DNIT itself, and the National Treasury.
