Paraguay's 2025 gambling revenue: highest in history
The gambling market in Paraguay ended 2025 with an unprecedented performance in terms of tax collection. According to official data published by the National Gambling Commission, the revenues accumulated between January and December exceeded US$32 million, marking a significant leap compared to the previous year's results.
According to the updated report on the National Directorate of Tax Revenues portal, the total amount received from fees reached G. 215,940 million, equivalent to about US$32.2 million. The year-on-year comparison reflects a strong growth, since in 2024 the collection had been approximately G. 175,768 million, around US$22 million.
A year with sustained income and monthly peaks
The behavior of the collection throughout 2025 showed a stable trend, with monthly amounts higher than those recorded in previous years. The start of the year left revenues above G. 15,000 million in January, while from May onwards the monthly collection consistently remained above G. 18,000 million.
The highest point of the year was recorded in September, when revenues reached almost G. 20,000 million, consolidating as the month with the greatest contribution to the treasury. October and November also ranked among the strongest periods of the calendar, confirming the market’s strength during the second half of the year.
More control and oversight of the sector
The regulatory body highlighted that these results are framed within the institutional reorganization process of the sector. The incorporation of Conajzar within the DNIT, as part of the new current legislation, strengthened the capacities for control, oversight, and sanctioning of irregularities in the betting industry.
This new scheme allowed for improved monitoring of operators and optimized collection, laying the foundations for a more orderly and transparent growth of the sector in the coming years. With the close of 2025, Paraguay not only reached a historic record in revenues but also consolidated a more robust supervision model for the gambling market.
