SAGSE Paraguay concluded its 2026 edition and confirmed its return in 2027
SAGSE Paraguay 2026 concluded its edition on Friday with a final day that brought an end to a summit that gathered over 345 effective registrations, with participation from operators, regulators, authorities, international sponsors, strategic providers, casino floor technicians, and security, surveillance, and operations teams from various countries in the region. The closing combined a review of the event with a social occasion that included a visit to the Iguazu Falls, and the main announcement was the confirmation of its return to the Hotel Casino Acaray in Ciudad del Este on August 4, 5, and 6, 2027. As a summary of the edition, the organization highlighted a ratio of close to 2.75 operators for every provider, a figure that consolidated the event's boutique profile and its focus on decision-makers.
The first day was held under the SAGSE Summit and University format, with an agenda focused on regulation, operation, market professionalization, sports betting, online casino, omnichannel, compliance, legal certainty, and opportunities for local operators. The day had a strong institutional presence, with the participation of Carlos Liseras, recently reinstated as president of the National Gaming Commission, in a panel that debated the present and future of the Paraguayan market alongside regulators, operators, international providers, and legal specialists, in addition to a block dedicated to illegal online gambling and the need for a coordinated response among the State, the Judiciary, competent bodies, and the regulated private sector.
The second day was dedicated to the SAGSE Academy and College format, a technical, practical, and operational day that brought together more than 150 casino floor technicians, operations managers, and security, surveillance, and operational personnel, with training on applied security in the casino, incident procedures, coordination between technicians and surveillance, event documentation, anomaly detection, and good operational practices. The organization framed the confirmation of the 2027 edition within the interest of international operators and providers and the importance of Paraguay as an emerging market, with the intention of maintaining a permanent space for training, networking, and dialogue between the public and private sectors.
