El Salvador's lottery brings health to communities
The National Charity Lottery of El Salvador once again brought free medical care to different parts of the country, this time in the departments of San Miguel and La Paz. The entity explained that these initiatives are part of the actions through which it channels resources from its activity back to communities.
In Planes 2, Chinameca, San Miguel department, a medical brigade offered general medical consultations, dental services, and mammograms to families in the community. Days later, the organization repeated the initiative in the Barahona canton, La Paz department, where it provided general medical care, dentistry, and ultrasounds, focusing on facilitating access to health and prevention services. The lottery emphasized that these brigades are part of its "Juntos Hacemos Beneficencia" (Together We Do Charity) program, through which it allocates funds from its operations to improve the well-being of the Salvadoran population. They also recalled that in early August, it had already delivered medical supplies to the Santa Tecla section of the Salvadoran Green Cross to strengthen its services.
The National Charity Lottery is the state lottery of El Salvador, and its raison d'être combines the operation of gambling with a social mandate: the resources it generates are directed towards charitable actions and health assistance aimed at the country's communities.
