Google Finance AI now uses Kalshi & Polymarket data

In a new demonstration of how artificial intelligence and prediction markets are beginning to converge in the financial field, Google confirmed the incorporation of data from Kalshi and Polymarket into its Google Finance platform.

The update, which will be implemented gradually over the coming weeks, is part of a comprehensive overhaul of the company's financial service, which will include automated analysis tools and AI-generated responses.

The redesign will allow users to make queries in natural language, such as “What will be the GDP growth in 2025?”, obtaining not only historical and comparative information but also market probabilities and projected trends derived from the operations and predictions of users on Kalshi and Polymarket.

The feature will be integrated with the new “Deep Search” system, which combines multiple sources of financial and internet data to offer contextualized and reasoned answers.

With this initiative, Alphabet, Google's parent company, becomes one of the first tech giants to formally incorporate prediction market data within a mass-consumer financial product, marking a significant advance in the validation of this type of platform.

A key step towards legitimizing prediction markets

Google's alliance with Kalshi and Polymarket represents a milestone for a sector that, for years, operated on the margins of the traditional financial system. These platforms, which allow users to bet on future outcomes of economic, political, or social events, have gained relevance as alternative indicators of market expectations.

In fact, the move comes after a series of similar actions that strengthened the institutional position of this segment:

Analysts from CoinDesk and Bloomberg Intelligence agree that Google's step could have a multiplying effect, attracting new participants and institutional investors to a market that still seeks regulatory clarity in the United States, where the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is reviewing the limits and licenses applicable to prediction markets.

AI, finance, and prediction: an inevitable convergence

The Google Finance update arrives in a context of strong competition among major tech companies to incorporate generative artificial intelligence models into their financial services.

With this integration, Google not only expands its AI product ecosystem but also places predictive data at the center of financial decision-making, a field that until now belonged exclusively to specialized risk analysis firms and hedge funds.

In the words of a Google spokesperson:

“Our mission with the new version of Google Finance is to help users better understand market movements and offer a forward-looking view based on transparent and accessible data.”

The new modules will be launched gradually over the coming weeks, both on the web version and the Google Finance mobile app.
