Polymarket to be the prediction market provider for the ATP Tour
Polymarket announced that it has become the official prediction market provider for the ATP Tour, securing exclusive streaming rights for all ATP Tour and ATP Challenger Tour matches within the prediction market category. The agreement was signed with Tennis Data Innovations, an independent joint venture of the ATP Tour and ATP Media Holdings responsible for the management, collection, and commercialization of official data and streaming rights across the circuit.
The agreement will allow registered Polymarket users in the United States to watch all ATP matches live and directly, and to trade on prediction markets, with official real-time data and odds provided by Sportradar, Tennis Data Innovations' exclusive distribution partner, to ensure timely settlements. The rights cover nearly 20,000 matches per season, including main draw and qualifying singles and doubles matches across the circuit, and the company will also leverage Sportradar's integrity services.
Ari Borod, President of Sports Business Development at Polymarket, stated that tennis lends itself to prediction markets because momentum shifts point by point and each match creates opportunities for expectations to change in real time. He suggested that combining live streaming, official data, and prediction markets in one place creates a more dynamic product. The executive framed the agreement as an expansion of the company's sports portfolio and its intention to work with tennis governing bodies to protect the integrity of the sport.
For his part, David Lampitt, CEO of Tennis Data Innovations, stated that the way people follow and interact with sports continues to evolve and that the company wants tennis to be at the forefront of that change, with the addition of Polymarket as a new way to connect with the sport throughout the season. The rights cover the entire ATP calendar, including events such as Indian Wells, the Miami Open, the Cincinnati Open, and the Nitto ATP Finals, giving users access to prediction markets linked to some of the most important tournaments in men's professional tennis.
