Uruguayan banking sector takes to the streets against illegal gambling
Uruguay's Banca de Quinielas launched an advertising campaign on the streets of Montevideo under the slogan "To illegal gambling, we say no chance," as part of its national awareness strategy. The action aims to amplify the message about the risks of clandestine betting and highlight the importance of choosing regulated platforms.
The campaign was placed at strategic high-traffic points in the capital, including the facade of Océano FM and various urban digital screens, in order to promote a safe, transparent, and responsible entertainment environment. The organization emphasized that the initiative has national reach and already has a solid presence in the network of agencies and sub-agencies throughout the country.
La Banca reminded that clandestine gambling exposes users to constant threats, such as financial fraud, lack of guarantees in prize collection, and the total absence of responsible gambling tools. It also pointed out that these illicit activities do not generate tax contributions that benefit society, a support that authorized operators who comply with current regulations in Uruguay do provide.
Among the recommendations for bettors to identify official options, the organization highlighted that legitimate sites operate exclusively under the official .com.uy domain, as is the case with supermatch.com.uy, eraspadita.com.uy, and labanca.com.uy. With this street intervention, which complements its actions in traditional media and digital platforms, La Banca seeks to reaffirm its institutional commitment in the fight against illegal gambling and the promotion of safe betting practices in the Uruguayan market.
