Uruguay State Casinos opens 12 Fiscal III vacancies
Those who hold a completed baccalaureate and want to work in the Uruguayan State's gaming halls have until 1 September to sign up for the new call from the General Directorate of Casinos. The call, driven by the Ministry of Economy and Finance under public competition of opposition and merits 7631/2026, seeks to fill twelve Fiscal III positions spread across Rocha, San José and Florida, with average pay reaching up to 126,224 Uruguayan pesos, around 3,079 dollars per month.
Entry will be under a provisional twelve-month regime, with the possibility of later accessing a budgeted post, and the salary combines a fixed part with a variable component tied to the profits of the games and of the hall where each worker performs, calculated on 2025 averages. The twelve positions are distributed into up to five posts for Rocha, with destinations in Chuy and in Rocha or La Paloma, up to four for the city of San José and up to three for Florida, with salary averages that vary by hall.
The Fiscal III role is multi-functional and spans from customer service, collecting bets and paying prizes to cash handling, monitoring operations, assisting with alerts on machines and self-service terminals and administrative, accounting and inventory control tasks, in addition to work with computer systems and closed-circuit television. The workload is forty-eight hours per week, with a rotating scheme of five working days for one of rest.
To apply one must be at least eighteen, hold a valid identity card and natural or legal citizenship at the close of registration, while training in office computing, languages and experience in public service add points, among other background. The call, open since 18 August, relies on the Ministry of Economy and Finance portal and comes a few months after another call in March, when State Casinos had offered thirty-three vacancies for administrative and oversight tasks in Montevideo and Canelones.
