BGaming takes its Plinko to the sweet realm
What BGaming is testing with Sugar Plinko is how well an already successful mechanic performs when its packaging is changed. The game takes the Plinko 2 system, where the ball is dropped onto a pachinko board and bounces until it lands in one of the lower slots, each with its own multiplier, and transfers it to a candy aesthetic.
The configuration margin is the most developed part. The player chooses between three volatility levels, modifies the number of lines on the board, and can increase the number of balls up to one hundred. Added to this are three buy features, which allow adding Multiplier Stretches to the playing field, enabling Respin Chances, or making Multiplier Balls with different values appear.
The commercial argument offered by the provider targets operators rather than players: low acquisition costs and consistent retention throughout the year, with a mechanic that, according to the company, works equally well for experienced casino players and newcomers.
Vasili Pauliuchenko, the company's game producer, explained why they chose this direction. He stated that Plinko titles are one of the house's biggest success stories and that the launch of Plinko 2 Halloween last year confirmed to them that there is real interest in themed versions. With sweets being among the most popular themes in the sector, the crossover presented itself as a clear decision. He added that the game retains what players already value about Plinko 2—simple mechanics, customization, and buy features—and what changes is the visual aspect.
BGaming develops content for iGaming operators, and the Plinko series is one of the lines on which it has been building successive releases within its casual games category.
