The analysis showed that the decisive phases concentrated the highest levels of transactional activity, reflecting how this type of event demands significantly greater operational capacity than a typical day, not only due to the volume of transactions but also because of sudden increases in demand and the need to sustain platform performance.
The data reveals that the greatest pressure on payment platforms was concentrated around matches involving the Argentine national team. Of the five days with the highest deposit activity recorded during the World Cup, three corresponded to the national team's matches, with the final against Spain showing the largest increase in the tournament, 52 percent above the daily average, followed by the quarter-finals against Switzerland, with a 43 percent increase. Similar behavior was observed in withdrawals, where the semi-final against England concentrated the highest volume of the championship, with a 55 percent increase compared to the daily average, while the Round of 32 match against Cape Verde registered the second-highest peak, with a 45 percent growth.
