Play'n GO saves progress by bet level in its new slot

Play'n GO launched Tower Run Treasure Steps, a slot that follows Bob, an aspiring knight with more optimism than skill, in his attempt to reach the Treasure Room. The setting has him crossing suspended walkways, strange portals, and stone structures under the gaze of a giant floating eye, with monsters that have no intention of making his path easy.
The board is a five-by-five grid with cascades, and matching symbols pay regardless of where they land. Each win charges the Win-O-Meter of Destiny, whose initial segments deliver the Wild Rift and the Dimensional Multiplier, and the key to the special round is to accumulate nine wins in a single spin, which open the Treasure Room once the last cascade is resolved.
Inside that room, the game's mechanics change. Fixed-value coins, along with closed mimetic chests, are the pieces of a Hold & Spin feature, and each chest reveals what it hides when a key opens it or when its countdown ends. Above the grid, Bob's Ascent runs in parallel, a progress bar that awards instant prizes every 18 steps, at fixed meeting points.
The technical detail lies in how this progress is saved. The Win-O-Meter resets to zero with each spin, but Bob's ascent retains its position and, moreover, does so independently for each bet level, so raising or lowering the staked amount does not reset accumulated progress. Magnus Wallentin, the company's game ambassador, noted: It's easy to root for Bob, he has a shiny sword, a good heart, and a lot more enthusiasm than experience.
This progression per bet level is the design decision that deserves attention. A meter that saves progress per bet segment solves the classic problem of cumulative bars, which is the incentive to play cheaply until the bar is complete and only then increase the bet to collect the big prize. By separating progress by level, the provider closes that door and at the same time turns each segment into its own game, with an opportunity cost for the player who wants to change the amount. It's the same criterion that the studio has been applying in its recent catalog, where retention is sought with visible goals rather than with volatility.
