San Francisco-based digital identity company founded by Mexican entrepreneur Ricardo Amper, recognised as a Leader in the Gartner Magic Quadrant for Identity Verification with explicit iGaming focus.
## A Mexico-rooted operation that ended up a unicorn in Silicon Valley Incode Technologies was founded on June 17, 2015 by Mexican entrepreneur Ricardo Amper. The company started as a facial recognition photo-sharing app and pivoted to identity verification in 2018, a move that landed Citibanamex as its first major client and later added Banorte, two of the largest banks in the country. That LatAm anchor defined the operation's DNA: a product built for markets with strict banking regulation and high volume from day one. In 2021 the company closed a 220 million dollar Series B led by SoftBank and General Atlantic, reaching a 1.25 billion valuation and entering the unicorn club. The operational headquarters is in San Francisco with offices worldwide. ## Incode Omni and the metrics that size the product The flagship product is Incode Omni, a fully automated identity platform with proprietary AI covering identity verification, KYC, KYB, passive authentication and fraud prevention. The company reports 4.1 billion identity checks per year, more than 400 million identity profiles in its database and verification of more than 100 million users per year across financial services, retail, iGaming, events, hospitality and the public sector. Published operational indicators include 98 percent first-try success in 1.5 seconds and up to 99 percent fraud reduction for clients deploying the full suite. ## Technical certifications that matter to compliance Incode was the first company to pass iBeta PAD Level 1 certification for passive liveness and later reached iBeta PAD Level 2, plus appearing as a top performer in NIST Facial Recognition Vendor Testing. The platform is SOC 2 Type II certified and supports more than 4,600 different documents for global coverage. In 2024 and 2025 Gartner named it a Leader in the Magic Quadrant for Identity Verification for the second consecutive year, and Liminal recognised it as a Leading Vendor in its Link Index for KYC. For a compliance team that needs to back its provider choice before a regulator or an external auditor, that series of recognitions is the cleanest answer available. ## Specific focus on iGaming and the Aristotle Integrity partnership The iGaming vertical inside Incode serves online casinos, sportsbooks, esports and social casinos with emphasis on age assurance, prevention of multi-account creation and detection of AI-generated fraud including deepfakes and synthetic identities. In September 2023 the company signed an integration with Aristotle Integrity, one of the providers with the largest share in US sportsbooks, licensed in 22 states and territories. That partnership placed Incode's technology inside Aristotle's Integrity AutoDoc product, a decision that gave it indirect presence among most of the major US operators without needing direct contracts with each one.
