Frogo, provider of Anti fraud
History and origin of Frogo
Frogo is an AI-based fraud prevention platform founded in 2022 by PIN-UP Global, an iGaming technology group that ran the solution internally for more than a year before opening it to the B2B market. After a year and a half of development followed by more than twelve months of internal use tested against real operations, Frogo launched publicly in early 2025 at ICE Barcelona as an all-in-one anti-fraud platform for iGaming operators, payment processors and other digital verticals with high transactional risk.
Scoring engine with static, dynamic and AI rules
Frogo's technical core combines three detection layers operating in parallel on every transaction and event. Static rules apply fixed thresholds defined by the operator, dynamic rules periodically recalculate what counts as normal to reduce false positives as behaviour shifts, and AI/ML models produce risk predictions that feed into the final score. This mixed architecture lets the platform respond both to known fraud with hard rules and to emerging vectors that rules do not yet describe.
Chargeback prevention and payments fraud
The Payments Fraud module is the backbone of Frogo's proposition for the operator's payments vertical, covering chargebacks, AML, BIN attacks, transaction duplication and automated withdrawals. The platform works with transaction updates that feed the final status of each transaction back into the model, cutting false positives across the payment lifecycle. One case documented by the team describes stopping a fraud scheme valued at more than 26 million euros, branded by Frogo itself as the digital gold rush.
Proprietary device fingerprinting and graph forensics
Frogo embeds its own device fingerprinting algorithm along with graph-based forensic tools that map connections between accounts, devices, payment methods and affiliates. This investigation layer detects multi-accounting, CPA fraud and internal fraud by cross-referencing signals that an account-level rule alone would miss. The investigation module includes graph visualisation so the risk analyst can navigate relationships and confirm patterns before blocking.
Fraud cases covered by the platform
Frogo's functional reach covers the main fraud vectors iGaming operators and their payment processors face.
- Gaming fraud, bonus abuse, bonus hunting and irregular betting behaviour
- Account takeover, detection of access from unrecognised devices
- Payments fraud, chargebacks, AML, BIN attacks, transaction duplication and auto withdrawals
- Affiliate fraud, CPA fraud and partner abuse with traffic quality validation
- SMS fraud, multi-accounting, internal fraud and custom cases defined by the operator
Security certifications
Frogo operates with a security certification stack that backs its integration with regulated operators and payment processors.
- PCI DSS, compliance with the standard for card data handling
- ISO 27001, international certification for information security management
- Swiss Approval North America as an additional validation
Scalable B2B architecture and vertical reach
One of the development challenges the team itself described was building a scalable B2B architecture capable of serving multiple verticals with distinct requirements. The result is a platform that today runs with iGaming as its primary focus but also applies to e-commerce, payment processors, trading and forex, CRMs, dating services, banking and delivery. That diversification broadens the platform's fraud dataset and improves the AI models that train on signals from different industries.
Team and integration
The team behind Frogo brings together 36 specialists across R&D, development, testing, data science and analytics, a structure that explains the pace of iteration between the initial commercial launch and new releases featuring product analytics, alerting improvements and positive scoring to identify VIP customers. The platform integrates through a publicly documented Scoring API, a standard channel for operators that already have their own risk stack and want to add Frogo's engine as an additional layer.
Operational fit for operators
For iGaming operators with significant exposure to chargebacks, bonus fraud and multi-accounting, Frogo offers an integrated package that combines real-time scoring, proprietary device fingerprinting, graph-based investigation and AML modules. Having been born as an internal tool at a global operator before entering the market gives it operational validation compared with pure software competitors, and the PCI DSS and ISO 27001 certifications make it an eligible partner for payment processors and banks that require formal security validation before integrating external risk-scoring engines.
