GAT reveals agenda for its launch event in São Paulo
Gaming and Technology Expo, known as GAT Expo, unveiled the panel agenda for GAT Official Launch Brazil 2026, the event marking the brand's entry into the Brazilian market and anticipating the major fair scheduled for 2027. The event will take place on Thursday, July 30, at the Jockey Club of São Paulo and will bring together associations, operators, manufacturers, technology providers, and specialists from Brazil and Latin America at a stage that its organizers describe as decisive for the consolidation of the regulated market and responsible gambling.
The program will revolve around several central themes, including market regulation and oversight, sports integrity, responsible gambling, B2B licensing, the physical casinos bill identified as PL 2234, the regulatory frontier of prediction markets, and the federal issue of lotteries. The meeting will feature a group of GAT Brazil Ambassadors, including Alex W. Pariente, founder of Pariente Advisory and Chair of the event, along with Neil Montgomery, Liliana Costa, Bárbara Teles, Ricardo Magri, Plínio Augusto Lemos Jorge, Bruno Omori, Amilton Noble, Sávio Prado, Iuri Castro, Georges Didier, and Hugo Leite, who will act as moderators and panelists alongside authorities and industry leaders.
José Aníbal Aguirre, founder and CEO of GAT Events, expressed his enthusiasm for the entry into Brazil, a goal the organization had been pursuing for some time, and thanked the support received from colleagues and industry allies. Aguirre announced that the prelude to the event will be an invitation-only dinner on the evening of July 29, prior to the in-depth immersion that the brand proposes for the following day at the Jockey Club in São Paulo.
For his part, Pariente, who has three decades of experience opening and operating integrated resorts in Latin America and the Caribbean, summarized the market climate by noting that Brazil is no longer discussing whether it will have a regulated market, but rather how attractive it will be for investment, and stated that legalization is the fact and the ability to attract capital is the condition. Liliana Costa, LATAM director of World Gaming Business, highlighted the publication's role as Media Partner and emphasized the commitment to provide specialized coverage and a regional perspective for a market that is going through a key moment to consolidate a regulated, responsible, and sustainable ecosystem.
Among the topics anticipated on the agenda are the transition from license issuance to effective oversight, the impact of the World Cup as proof of the regulated regime in terms of integrity and advertising, the advancement of B2B licensing and technical certification, the potential of integrated resorts and omnichannel integration between physical and digital businesses, as well as the Brazilian institutional response to prediction markets and the debate on the federalism of state and municipal lotteries. GAT Official Launch Brazil features World Gaming Business of Clarion Gaming as Media Partner and Gaming Laboratories International as a sponsor, and will conclude with final reflections and a networking cocktail designed to strengthen institutional ties and generate new business opportunities.
