KICK to Broadcast Brasileirão Serie A in 17 Countries by 2026

In a strategic agreement with 1190 Sports, the Brazilian league is betting on the "Watch Party" format with influencers to capture the young audience. KICK, known for its connection to the iGaming sector and its creator-friendly revenue model, will broadcast 76 matches per season.

Brazilian football continues its aggressive digital expansion and this time does so hand in hand with one of the most disruptive players in the streaming market. The KICK platform has closed a deal with 1190 Sports to broadcast the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A in 17 Latin American countries starting from the 2026 season. The contract excludes only Brazil and Ecuador, territories that maintain their own rights agreements.

This alliance marks a paradigm shift in the distribution of sports content in the region. Instead of traditional broadcasting, the Brasileirão will rely on the co-streaming or collaborative narration format. KICK will air 76 live matches (two per matchday) that will be narrated and commented on by popular figures from the digital environment such as La Cobraaa, Teodeliaa, Benitosdr, and Agusneta.

The KICK Factor: Streaming and Betting Culture

For industry operators, the choice of KICK is no minor detail. The platform has quickly gained ground against competitors like Twitch thanks to its more flexible policies regarding gambling content and its 95/5 revenue-sharing model favoring the creator. Founded with the backing of the owners of Stake.com, KICK has positioned itself as a natural space for the intersection between sports entertainment and betting culture.

This agreement allows the Brazilian league to access a specific demographic: Generation Z, a segment that consumes sports in a fragmented, interactive way and often through mobile devices. According to Ethan Wright, KICK’s director, the proposal seeks for the viewer to stop being a passive subject and become an active participant in the experience alongside their favorite streamers.

Internationalization and New Consumption Habits

Hernán Donnari, CEO of 1190 Sports (the company managing the international rights of the Brasileirão), explained that the strategy responds to audience fragmentation. The goal is to adapt the product to different languages to expand the digital reach of the continent’s most valuable tournament, whose global broadcasting rights have grown exponentially in the last five years thanks to centralized sales.

With this move, the Brasileirão not only seeks visibility but also "engagement." By using influencers who already have loyal communities in countries like Argentina, Colombia, or Chile, the Brazilian league aims to break national barriers and consolidate itself as a regional consumption product, leveraging a platform technologically prepared for real-time interaction.
